Discovery Air Technical Services (DATS) is a Transport Canada Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO 23-10) with a wide range of capabilities. Air Ambulance
24 hours a day, 365 days a year we have dedicated Air Ambulance servicing the Western Northwest Territories. This King Air aircraft has state of the art full medical interiors and most of the equipment in a hospital room is available in this aircraft.

Our crews can get into the most remote areas to extract soil samples or complete surveillance work.
Fighter Support
If you are looking for Red Air adversary support, our crews provide the most experienced pilots around. Primarily Fighter Weapons Instructors with thousands of hours of experience, our team delivers customized training wherever it is required.
Electronic Warfare Support
EW Training missions are conducted by highly professional crews consisting of a Top Aces Pilot and a DND Electronic Warfare Officer who is responsible for all pod operations.
Target Tow
Live fire targeting is available on both the Westwind and Alpha Jet fleet, with Real Time Scoring Feedback.
Close Air Support
Our crews provide support to the Army in training for their deployments as Forward Air Controllers (FAC). Many of the FACs we have helped to train have recently deployed to Afghanistan.
Maritime Support
Top Aces often simulates an attack on a ship, either as an opposition force, or as a cruise missile. In some cases, their role is to augment the CF-18 crews in defending the ships.
Power Line Repair
The rotary wing crews are active throughout the season working on power lines across Canada.

The Northlinx Network brings together many of the Great Slave Helicopters Aboriginal Joint-Venture Partnerships allowing all participants to benefit from pan-territorial mega-projects requiring helicopter services in the North. Presently there are thirteen partnerships operating in this profitable model around the NWT and Nunavut, including Denendeh Helicopters, Dehcho Regional Helicopters, Sahtu Helicopters, Kitikmeot Helicopters, Gwich’in Helicopters, Havgun Helicopters, Kivalliq Aviation, Tlicho Helicopters, Akaitcho Helicopters and Auyuittuq Aviation. Flight operations for Northlinx are conducted by Great Slave Helicopters, with the exceptions of Sahtu Helicopters, Denendeh Helicopters, Superior Helicopters and Hudson Bay Helicopters, that conduct flight operations under their own operating certificate.
