Discovery Air would like to congratulate the Great Slave Helicopters that recently won the third place medal in the Yellowknife Minor Hockey Junior Tournament. Overarching Objective
Discovery Air’s Overarching Objective is to significantly increase annual earnings per share by January 31, 2015, and to position its businesses for long-term, profitable growth thereafter.
Our new Executive Team and Board recently undertook a comprehensive reassessment of our strategy, validating and refining it based on the current environment and our businesses, and how these align with our vision for Discovery Air. A committed medium to long-term objective is critical to help frame our decision-making, and in this report we are pleased to be able to relay the above “Overarching Objective”.
The Overarching Objective replaces our previous mission statement. Building an alliance of profitable aviation businesses continues to be important; however, our Overarching Objective is intended to define a much broader scope of opportunity to create shareholder value. It requires that we leverage the organization’s full range of capabilities. We have established internal milestones to measure our progress in relation to this Objective. It will be a challenge but we are committed to working relentlessly to achieve it and in realizing this goal reward all stakeholders.
The Overarching Objective will be a constant consideration in our decision making. Management has established the following strategies which will be critical in managing the
business over the next five years.
