Discovery Air Technical Services (DATS) is a Transport Canada Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO 23-10) with a wide range of capabilities. We are authorized to perform maintenance and modifications on all U.S. registered aircraft as listed in the U.S./Canada bilateral agreement (Ref. CFR 43.17) and under EASA 145 (European Aviation Safety Agency).
Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Avionics
Location: Quebec City
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Aircraft Certification Authorities (ACA) perform aircraft inspection tasks and ensure that the work carried out by other technicians is performed in accordance with the requirements set forth by the Company, Regulatory Authorities and the Customers General Maintenance Manual.
Responsibilities
Inspection of airframes, engines, operating equipment, components, parts, etc., in accordance with the work packages and task cards;
Inspection (“buy back”) of airframes, engines, operating equipment, components, parts, etc., in all stages of repairs to ensure that the repairs / work performed is in accordance with standards and specifications designated on approved documentation, drawings, manuals, etc.;
Document discrepancies in accordance with DATS Policies & Procedures and Customer’s General Maintenance Manual;
Determine the proper corrective actions required to rectify discrepancies;
Ensure that all work is performed to DATS quality standards, policies & procedures and Regulatory Authority requirements (TC, FAA, etc.);
Ensure that Aircraft documentation is completed in accordance with the Companies Standards and operators requirements;
Ensure personnel are following instructions and performing tasks in accordance with company’s policies & procedures.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following skills and qualifications:
Experience in avionics, repairs and installation;
Great attitude, strong technical knowledge;
3-5 years’ experience in the aviation industry (civil or military);
Valid Transport Canada “E” licence;
Able to obtain a security clearance.
