Discovery Air Technical Services achieves ISO 9001:2008 Certification
Quebec City, November 10, 2011- Discovery Air Technical Services (DATS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Discovery Air Inc., is pleased to announce it has successfully achieved ISO 9001:2008 Certification.
ISO 9001:2008 is a Quality Management System (QMS) Standard that is recognized globally. A certification granted by an outside independent auditor, DATS achieved ISO 9001 Certification by demonstrating that its QMS procedures promotes continuous improvement, resulting in a consistently excellent product.
“DATS continues to position itself as a global leader in Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services,” commented Remy St-Martin, DATS Vice President of Commercial Services. “This new QMS certification will not only directly benefit our current customers, but it will also enable us to attract more business from a customer base that demands high standards. Discovery Air Technical Services (DATS) holds Transport Canada approvals for the DASH-8, Boeing 737, CRJ 100/200, SAAB 340 and the ERJ 135/145 aircraft, and will soon add additional aircraft types to its catalog of capabilities. DATS’ Quebec City maintenance facility provides a wide range of capabilities including welding, avionics, engineering, machining, heat treatment, composite and sheet metal repairs. DATS also provides engineering services out if its Toronto office.
