Human Resources Advisor

GSH & Group of Companies is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Human Resources Advisor to join our team.
Reporting to the Manager of Human Resources, the Human Resources Advisor will be an experienced generalist who will be a significant contributor in assuring the delivery of quality Human Resources services and counsel to various internal and external business partners.
This role will support the development of HR strategies that are aligned to short- and long-term company objectives. Responsibilities include providing generalist Human Resources services in employee recruitment and selection, training and development, compensation and benefits, interpretation of policy, legislation and practices to ensure consistent application and legislative/corporate compliance, performance management, organizational development, coaching, and employee relations and other corporate initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate
Minimum of 3 to 5 years HR generalist experience in all functional areas of Human Resources;
A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and efficiency while maintaining accuracy in all deliverables is an absolute must in this role;
Excellent communications skills, verbal and written;
Highly organized with effective project and time management skills;
Above average inter-personal and coaching skills;
Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills;
Experience and proven ability to interface with employees and management to resolve issues and to determine viable solutions;
Strong knowledge and experience with federal, provincial and territorial legislation;
Demonstrated ability to work independently, showing initiative and resourcefulness, and is a strong, collaborative team player;
Ability to deal with people sensitively; tactfully; diplomatically while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times;
Aviation experience is a definite asset.
