Discovery Air Technical Services announces an agreement with Peninsula Airways for the Heavy Maintenance of their SAAB340 fleet
Quebec City, May 22, 2012 - Discovery Air Technical Services Inc. (DATS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Discovery Air Inc., is pleased to announce that it has signed an agreement with Peninsula Airways (PenAir) of Alaska for the maintenance of PenAir’s SAAB340 aircraft.
“We are very pleased to welcome PenAir to DATS in Quebec City for the heavy maintenance of their SAAB 340 aircraft,” commented Jean Genest, President of DATS. “Our ability to provide high quality services, on time and on budget, is helping make DATS an obvious choice for regional operators such as PenAir. We look forward to serving PenAir and strengthening our position as a leading MRO services provider for SAAB aircraft.”
Mike Bradley, VP of Maintenance & Engineering for PenAir said: “We are very pleased to see that DATS has re-delivered our first SAAB 340 aircraft in line with our agreement. The DATS Team of technicians was able to turn our first aircraft around without issue four days earlier than anticipated, allowing us to place the aircraft directly back into revenue service with no snags. We felt very comfortable sending a second SAAB to DATS right away.”
