Discovery Air Defence Services completes first mission for the German Armed Forces
On January 13, 2015 Discovery Air Defence Services completed its inaugural flight in Wittmund, Germany providing fast jet airborne training services to the German Armed Forces. The successful mission was flown in support of German Ground Controller Intercept training and numerous intercepts were conducted. The Lead Pilot of the DADS German team, with over 2,000 hours experience on the A-4, led the mission and continues to prove that experience matters! Photo Credit: Wouter Haan.
Air Tindi and Advanced Medical Solutions awarded Medevac Services Contract
On January 6, 2015 Air Tindi Ltd. (ATL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Discovery Air Inc., announced that the Government of the Northwest Territories awarded ATL and Advanced Medical Solutions the medevac equipped aircraft services contract for the Stanton Territorial Health Authority. This contract is for an 8 year term to 2023, with an option for STHA to extend the contract for an additional 2 years.
DA Defence Services Exhibited at the 2014 International Fighter Conference
On November 18- 20, 2014 DA Defence Services exhibited at the 2014 International Fighter Conference in London, UK. The conference was a great platform for the military and defence communities to network with peers and leaders throughout all levels of the military and private sector about current defence issues. DA Defence Services presented at the event about the benefits of Contracted Adversary Support.

DA Defence Services Deploys A-4 Aircraft to Germany
DA Defence Services has begun the deployment of its significantly upgraded, glass cockpit, advanced A-4N fleet to Wittmund, Germany to begin its contract with the German Armed Forces. Under its contract, DA Defence Services will provide fast jet airborne training services to the German Armed Forces for a term of five years, commencing January 2015. This announcement was made at the Ottawa International Airport by senior Discovery Air executives alongside, Member of Parliament for Bruce – Grey – Owen Sound, Larry Miller, Chair of the Government of Canada Transport Committee.

Discovery Aviation Academy hosts 2nd Annual K4K Fun Fly Day
On August 17, 2014 Discovery Aviation Academy (DAA) hosted its second annual K4K Fun Fly Day. The fun-packed event included a BBQ, static displays, children’s’ activities as well as sight-seeing flights over the city of Sudbury in support of the Kicx for Kids Charity. This year, despite the cool weather, we were able to get over 110 people up in the air to raise $2,500. All proceeds from the event are going towards Phase 2 of the Kicx for Kids project, whose goal is to completely renovate the existing Treatment Room in the Pediatric Unit at Health Sciences North in Sudbury.
DATS obtains Supplemental Type Certificate for Aero Commander Multi-Mission Sensor Port
Discovery Air Technical Services is pleased to announce that it has been issued a Transport Canada Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for the incorporation of a Multi-Mission Sensor port onto a twin engine Rockwell Aero Commander. The sensor port facilitates the installation of a wide variety of multi spectral, infrared and optical sensors for use on environmental or surveillance missions.
